Each actor will do a One on One Camera audition with soap sides. The simulation of a first call audition for any Under-five, Dayplayer, or Contract Role. (One person on camera reading a scene with a reader off camera). Receive feedback. Watch the tape.
Technical information – You’ll learn everything you need to know on a soap set. Cameras, camera shots, set lingo, modifying and minimizing movements for the camera, how the soaps quickly block etc. Also, a bit about Image and knowing your type.
Each actor will receive a new soap scene with a partner and we will block and tape the scenes, learning about the fast pace of how soaps are produced. Receive feedback and changes. Watch the tape.
What makes a great headshot, resume and cover letter. Tons of examples of good and not so good choices other actors have submitted. Marketing ideas and tools etc.
